ClearWaterLite has limited functionality in comparison with ClearWaterMMS. The time element is absent from the ClearWaterLite system which means it runs on current time as opposed to being a "real-time system". Consequently, a a contract cannot be created for a given time period, advanced bookings cannot be made and reports requesting date inputs cannot be run off. If you require a system just to manage your customer's data, ClearWaterLite is a very credible solution for you.
The interface between ClearWaterLite and Rolec bollards enables the system to:
Switch bollard services on and off from the marina office, either automatically or manually.
Poll meter usage
ClearWaterLite can be programmed to read the usage meters in bulk on a variety of set timescales (continuously,
by the minute, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, etc).
Bollards can also be polled on an individual basis upon request.
Control bollard output in conjunction with a pre-payment scheme
ClearWaterLite can accept pre-payments so the system debits the account as services are being consumed.
A system user is able to monitor the credit status through a standard report (Credit Summary). The
user can ask the system to report on any customer with credit less than a designated figure.
A threshold can be set to automatically switch the bollard services off. This could be when the credit
runs out, just before it is exhausted, or at a nominal debt figure.
Generate interim and final invoices for services and pre-payment receipts
These can be generated in bulk or on an individual basis.
Where Berthmaster is not in operation, data from Excel spreadsheets can be imported into ClearWaterLite
and merged to produce invoices.
Record bollard faults and problems
Where faults and problems are diagnosed, error messages are produced and logged in the audit reports.
Restrict access to bollard services using password controlled key-pads. (Subject to version of Rolec
Bollards used.)
Berth Holders and staff are given PIN numbers or passwords to restrict access to the bollard services.
Display available credit, advertising, welcome or other messages on a bollard display unit. (Subject
to version of Rolec Bollards used.)
An LCD display on the bollard allows messages to be sent from the marina office to the berth holder.
Reports
The standard reports in ClearWaterLite are Usage Statements and Credit Summaries. A Usage Statement
gives the times when a polling reading was made and the associated usage readings, what invoices have
been generated against the account, what payments have been made and the balance on the account.
